Petaling Jaya Aircon Service — From Old PJ Bungalows to Damansara Uptown Offices
Petaling Jaya was Malaysia's first planned satellite town, and some of its houses are older than the air-conditioning industry in this country. In Section 5, Section 12 and Section 14 we work in homes where the original wiring has been patched for decades and units have been added room by room as the family grew.

Newer PJ is a different world: high-rise condos in Ara Damansara and Kelana Jaya, offices around Jaya One and Damansara Uptown, and busy commercial rows in SS2. Our technicians adjust to each, from careful work around heritage plaster to quick visits to offices that need everything done before nine.
Three Generations of Buildings
The oldest PJ homes, built from the 1950s to the 1970s, are typically single-storey bungalows and semi-detached houses with thick walls and high ceilings. Units here are often mounted high, with long copper runs to an outdoor unit in the garden or on a side wall.
SS-section terraces from the 1970s and 1980s have been extended and rebuilt many times, while the condos and office towers of the last twenty years bring their own access rules. Few towns in the Klang Valley have such variety in such a small area.
Common Aircon Problems in Petaling Jaya
Old wiring and makeshift sockets
Some houses in the old sections still run aircon on wiring that was never designed for it. A tripping unit is sometimes an electrical problem rather than an aircon fault.
Long pipe runs in older homes
High ceilings and outdoor units placed far from the indoor head mean long pipe runs, more joints and more places for gas to escape over time.
Renovations that trap the drain
Kitchen extensions and new ceilings often bury drain hoses. When they kink or clog, water ends up in the ceiling before it reaches the floor.
Offices that need early starts
Small offices in Jaya One and Damansara Uptown often want servicing done before staff arrive, which means early morning or weekend slots.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
My house in an old PJ section keeps tripping when the aircon starts. Is the unit faulty?
Not always. In older homes, an overloaded circuit, a worn breaker or a loose socket can trip the supply when the compressor starts. Our technician checks the electrical side first and tells you if an electrician is needed before blaming the unit.
Why does my outdoor unit sit so far from my bedroom?
In many older PJ homes, outdoor units were placed in the garden or on the far side of the house. Long pipe runs reduce efficiency slightly and add joints where leaks can develop. If you are replacing a unit, we can advise on whether a shorter run is possible.
Can you service our Jaya One office before staff arrive?
Early morning slots can be arranged with advance notice and building approval. For offices with several cassettes, our commercial team will plan the crew size so the work finishes before the office opens.
Water is coming through my ceiling, not from the unit. Could it still be the aircon?
Yes. A drain hose running through the ceiling can crack or disconnect, especially after renovation. We trace the drain from the unit to its outlet, find the break and repair it, with a 7-day workmanship warranty on the repair.
Respecting PJ's History, Fixing Today's Units
Petaling Jaya's houses were built for a cooler, slower era, and its offices for a faster one. We work in both, with care for old walls and ceilings and speed for offices that cannot wait. Tell us which section you are in and how old the house is, and we will plan the visit around what is behind the walls.
